EPIC! Summer Camp 2012

EPIC! Summer Campers have a blast participating in team challenges, arts and crafts, home economics, recreation and community outreach—all while reinforcing positive self esteem and building valuable leadership skills. The family feeling of the Shreiner community provides the security needed for children to try new things and expand their horizons.

This year, the theme for EPIC! Summer Camp is “7 Natural Wonders of the World.” Campers will “visit” an exciting new destination each week—from Mount Everest to the Great Barrier Reef—and engage in fun and challenging activities related to that natural wonder.

Camp Sessions

EPIC! Summer Camp will be held for 10 consecutive weeks from May 21, 2012 to July 27, 2012. Camp days are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Parents may sign their children up for as many or as few weeks as they’d like.

Daily Activities

At EPIC! Summer Camp, there’s no shortage of opportunities to try something new. From swimming to music, arts and crafts to team challenges, we have something for everyone.

The following activities are included in EPIC! Summer Camp:

Daily Track Time
Students spend two hours a day at their chosen "track," which changes weekly. Preschool tracks are based on the weekly theme, and range from "Numbers and Patterns" to "Arts & Crafts." K-8th grade campers choose their tracks according to their area of interest.

Community Outreach
6-8th grade campers have the opportunity to give back to the community through outreach that supports the weekly theme.

Swimming
Campers cool off in the pool where they receive swimming lessons and also have time to splash around and play pool games.

Field Trips
4K-8th grade campers will visit fun and exciting destinations around the Atlanta area that relate to the weekly theme. 2K-3K campers will go on special on-campus field trips.

Specials
Campers will stay active with P.E., unleash their creativity with arts and crafts, and learn about rhythm in music class.

Location
