Summer Camp Program Details
Ages: 2 through 8th gradeDates: Monday, May 24 - Friday, August 6, 2010
Hours: 7:00am - 6:30pm
Our program is offered to children ages 2 through 8th grade, and is held for 11 consecutive weeks starting on Monday, May 24, and running through Friday, August 6. Students are placed into classes according to the grade they have previously completed. Class sizes are limited and enrollment is based upon camper/counselor ratios.
Location
Summer Camp is located on Shreiner Academy’s beautiful 8-acre campus. Our unique campus features 2 swimming pools, a Performing Arts Center, 3 basketball courts, an expansive athletic field, campus trails, a computer lab, and much more!Summer Camp Theme
This year’s Summer Camp theme for our Lower School (ages 2 through 4th grade) program is “Rockin Roadtrip - Travel the World”. Our students will experience engaging activities each week that relate to different cultures and destinations around the world. Our Middle School program centers on the importance of team-building to encourage creative out-of-the box thinking. This will strengthen all elements of team work including creativity, communication, trust, problem solving, time management, leadership, and motivation. Team-building activities will be incorporated into each student's daily routine. All students will have the opportunity to participate in home economics, art, swimming, P.E., and music during their daily schedules; we will also take field trips each session to build upon the week's theme focus.Summer Enrichment Programs
In addition to our Summer Camp program, Shreiner offers a wide variety of Enrichment Programs to further your child's summer exploration. Many of our current after-school programs are featured along with special, summer-only offerings. The Enrichment Program offering includes team sports & fitness, swimming lessons, cheerleading camps, theater, jazz dance, sight words, soccer, color chemistry, creative writing, and a SAT/PSAT math preparation course.
