I am the 4th-8th grade social studies and technology teacher at Shreiner Academy. I am so excited to be part of the Shreiner family and am looking forward to this coming school year. I recently graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BS in elementary education and I student taught 4th grade in the Ann Arbor Public Schools (Ann Arbor, Michigan). My teaching philosophy is guided by this quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: "Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."

My main goal this year is for my students to go beyond simply memorizing historicalFacts, but to deeply understand why things happened the way they did and how we might use it moving forward. I am new to the Marietta area but thankfully I have plenty of company. My girlfriend of 5 years, Sarah, is enrolled in the Chiropractic program at Life University. I also have my faithful friends Magnum, my 4 year old Chocolate Lab, and Jasmine, my 2 year old Golden Retriever.
