Performing Arts
The school places emphasis on the performing arts program as a method of teaching basic skills and developing a sense of self-confidence. It is amazing to watch the children develop from year to year as they learn to sing, project their voices and finally add characterization to the roles they play.
The winter and spring shows in the school’s performing arts center offer 3-year-olds through 2nd graders a chance to be up on stage. What a joy for all of us (parents included) to see these rising stars!
Middle School students in grades 3 through 8 are involved with end-of-the-year performances including Willy Wonka, Shreiner House Rocks, Bugsy Malone and more. Each student has the opportunity to be engaged in some aspect of creating an amazing performance. This is a school favorite among our school traditions.
Shreiner has a family atmosphere. It’s challenging without being too rigid. I like the diversity—it’s truly an international academy.
