This month in Kindergarten, we will be talking about our last composer of the month: Haydn. We will review lots of the fun songs we have learned this year and continue preparing for their Spring Show! I can't wait to see them perform!
This month in 1st Grade, we will learn about our last composer of the month: Haydn. We will also be playing some jazz music!
This month in 2nd grade, we will talk about our last composer of the month: Haydn. We will continue working on their school play. Can't wait to see the performance! Lastly, we will listen to Spirituals.
In 3rd grade, we'll finish out the year by talking about the last composer of the month: Haydn. We will work on recorder karate to the very end!
The kids are showing great progress on their recorders and are very excited about the recorder karate program!

I will continue to send home note naming worksheets until all the students can read treble clef in their sleep. This will help to alleviate a lot of frustration while playing recorders and help the students to make strides on their recorder karate.
Duncan is the first student to achieve black belt and is now working on his 2nd degree black belt! WooHoo!

This month in Middle School, we will talk in depth about the composer Haydn.
We will be studying theory and working on our piano skills. I will continue to send home note naming worksheets until they all understand treble and bass clefs. I handed out the rubric for the 4th quarter project. They cannot succeed at this project without a sound understanding of treble and bass clefs!
