Setting the Tone
Utilizing individualized and differentiated instruction, including transversing grade levels, we are able to teach an accelerated curriculum while maintaining a relaxed environment in which children have fun. The atmosphere at Shreiner is free of stress or intense competition; it is happy and light-hearted. Everyone is treated with kindness and compassion, as we are all part of the Shreiner family. We believe that happy children are naturally motivated and curious; that all children want to learn and simply need to have the encouragement and opportunity to do so.Curriculum
Our teachers use the Core Knowledge curriculum - a comprehensive, content-specific, interdisciplinary curriculum that builds knowledge year upon year - at all grade levels. We have also integrated the Imagine It! Reading and Language Arts Program - a materials-rich, research-based instructional program combining the best of whole language and phonics approaches to reading and language development - into our 3K through 5th grade classrooms.All students, from 2K through 8th grade, participate in:
