Small Classes
Small class size is one of the hallmarks of a Shreiner education. Our average class size is 12 - outstanding when compared to the average class size of 23 in many private schools in the Atlanta area. So rather than feeling like a number and waiting a long time for assistance - and getting frustrated in the process - our students have faster access to teachers and are given plenty of help and affirmation, creating a much more personal, intimate, and nourishing environment.
Individualized Assessment
Shreiner utilizes the NWEA MAP assessment - a progressive, untimed, computer-adaptive testing program - to measure individual student knowledge and growth. Testing is conducted three times per year and provides teachers, parents, and students with immediate and actionable feedback on students' mastery of subjects and progress toward personal goals. Before and After School Programs
Unlike many schools, Shreiner offers an extended school day included in the price of tuition. Students have the opportunity for outdoor play, homework time, or more structured activities. Shreiner Academy’s greatest strength is the ability for students to learn in a smaller classroom environment. The teachers are able to give individual attention to the students and the students are able to have a voice … they can open up and are not left silent.
