Welcome to the Shreiner Family

On August 15, 2009, we at Shreiner Academy celebrated 30 years of educating children in the greater Atlanta area. Throughout these 30 years, we have embraced a tradition in education founded by the Harold Shreiner family—experiential learning through an imaginative curriculum provided by exceptional, professional, and nurturing faculty where the classroom extends beyond the four walls. We have a beautiful eight-acre learning environment, and we incorporate monthly field trips and off-campus study as part of our curriculum. Our campus serves children from age 2 through 8th grade. Learning is fun; it is challenging and stimulating, and children are encouraged to strive to their best potential in a supportive environment.

Unlike any other private school in Georgia, Shreiner Academy staff and students benefit from cutting-edge opportunities in education provided by our corporate support, American Education Group. As an example of this exceptional support, teachers are trained in the use of the NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Assessment) MAP assessment tool. Given to students three times a year in grades K-8, this tool provides an accurate measure of a child’s individual, academic growth in skills and concepts mastered, as well as reflecting achievement levels for those skills not yet learned in the classroom. What does this mean? MAP tools provide teachers, parents, and students with real progress reports. Individualized education along with true standards of measures can be provided accurately and effectively for each child. Most importantly, student progress is not confined to or restricted by age or grade level. Students can soar!
