Being a native New Yorker Elaine Gutenstein has, after 20+ years, come to enjoy the slower pace of the South. Happily married to her partner in crime, Michael, and Mom to four daughters "Mrs. G" still finds time for her hobbies: music, classic movies, food and especially READING. Every day Mrs. G tries to live by these famous words," Live, live, live! Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!" from Auntie Mame; THE family favorite classic movie in the Gutenstein household. The Gutenstein Family has been proudly associated with Shreiner Academy since May 1998 when daughter Emily joined Miss Kelly in her 4K Copper Class. Mrs. G, who has worked with two year olds-seven year old students, has been teaching at Shreiner Academy since August 2003.
Shreiner Academy’s greatest strength is the ability for students to learn in a smaller classroom environment. The teachers are able to give individual attention to the students and the students are able to have a voice … they can open up and are not left silent. The teachers can also monitor student progress better within the classroom.
