Danielle Peterson
4th Grade
Danielle earned her Bachelor's of Science degree with an emphasis on middle grade education and has been teaching since 2006. She has also taught eighth grade mathematics at Lovejoy Middle School, and sixth and seventh grade language arts for Herschel Jones Middle School. Danielle is a member of the GAE (Georgia Association of Educators), and volunteers at the Atlanta History Museum and with the March of Dimes.
Danielle's motto is 'Be the change you would like to see in the world,' by Ghandi. She says she "thinks about this motto every single day, and the teachers who inspired me to become a believer in myself. I hope to teach students that learning is never-ending, and that the future is in their hands."
Danielle resides in the Vinings/Atlanta area, and claims her pug, Nolan, as her only child. She also enjoys indoor rock climbing, traveling with family and friends, and playing her guitar.
Shreiner Academy’s learning environment is very unique when compared to most schools. As an educator, it is incredible to have such flexibility within my classroom! The small class size truly allows me to teach to each student and his/her needs.
